Testimonials

“Marilyn is AWESOME! She’s energetic and so enthusiastic with her teaching. She clearly expresses her joy in music, and in teaching others. Because of her lessons with Marilyn, my daughter loves playing violin and she always looks forward to her next lesson. I highly recommend Marilyn!”

Marilyn is a gifted teacher who kept my 7 year old engaged and enthusiastic about learning to play his violin.”

“Thanks to Marilyn and her attention to each individual student’s abilities and skills, my son has attained and developed new and improved skills, helping to create a more composed violinist. My son has been taking lessons from Marilyn for the last 3 years, and has grown so much in his skill and confidence! He really enjoys his lessons, and they have a great working relationship!”

“I’m a beginner with very little musical experience beyond picking up my violin once in a while, and by the end of our 45 minutes Marilyn had me playing a couple of different rhythms and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She covered the bow hold and how to position the violin, where your fingers should be — all the essential basics you would expect to learn at a first lesson. She was super, super nice and great to talk with! If you have any questions, she’s happy to answer them, and it was just all around a great experience. The time went by so fast — 45 minutes felt like 15 minutes! Can’t wait for our next one!”

“Marilyn is extremely talented. She is excellent at communicating with students. And, she is very patient and constructive when needed. I truly enjoyed my time spent in her lessons.”

“Our 7 year old daughter asked to take violin lessons for a year before we were convinced that she was really interested. Searching for a teacher started. Our daughter needed a female teacher who has a smile on their face, enthusiasm, talent, knowledge, and exhibits true joy in playing and teaching. We found her in Marilyn. She has been able to relate to our daughters energy and her excitement to play. We are very happy to continue lesson with Marilyn for years to come.”

“Our 8 year old son, Ben, takes violin with Mrs. Taylor once a week. He loves the time with her & she is wonderful with him. Disciplined, but fun and always encouraging. She is so talented, which is inspiring for Ben. She is also very accommodating when our schedule gets hectic, which happens from time to time with two busy kids!”
